Terms of Use
Version 2026-10-19 · Last updated: 19 October 2026 ·
Operated by Nisha Sahni, D-9/9, Second Floor, Ardee City, Sector 52, Gurgaon 122011, Haryana, India
1. Who we are
NishaLMS is a private learning portal at accountsbynisha.com, operated by
Nisha Sahni ("we", "us", "the practice") for the
teaching of Accounts and Economics to students of Classes 11 and 12. These Terms
govern your use of the portal. A student who registers for a free trial on our website
accepts these Terms by ticking the box provided ("I agree to the Terms of Use"). When a
parent or guardian buys a course on our website, they tick one box at checkout. By ticking
it they accept these Terms and our Refund and Cancellation Policy, and
give their consent, as the student's parent or lawful guardian, to the processing
described in our Privacy Policy. We record which version of each
document was accepted, and when. Anyone else accepts these Terms by signing in and using the
portal.
2. Who may use the portal
Accounts are created by the practice for enrolled students, teachers and the administrator; through our website when a student registers for a free trial (section 7); or through our website when a parent or guardian buys a course (section 8). You may not otherwise create an account, and you may not share your login.
The portal is for students under 18. A student may register for a free trial themselves, giving their own name, email address and mobile number, and a parent's or guardian's email address and mobile number. We email that parent or guardian straight away to tell them, and they can have the account and the trial's personal data removed by replying to that email or by contacting us (section 9). A parent's or guardian's consent is recorded when a course is bought online; for a student the practice enrols directly, the practice relies on the enrolling parent or guardian for permission to provide the service.
Your login is personal to you. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you believe your account has been used by someone else.
3. What you may and may not do
Use the learning material — videos, notes, worksheets, assignments and tests — only for your own study within the practice.
Do not download, copy, re-share, or publish the practice's material, or make it available to anyone outside the practice. The material belongs to the practice or its licensors. Do not record live classes.
Do not attempt to reach content, accounts or data that are not yours, probe the portal's security, or interfere with its normal working.
Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything that is not your own work when submitting an assignment.
4. Live classes
Live classes run over Zoom. A course bought as Live includes the regular live
classes of its subject. Doubt sessions are open to both Recorded and Live students. Joining links
are provided through the portal, to the students a class is for, for their own use, and must not
be shared. Classes may be conducted with the camera and microphone
settings the teacher sets for a supervised class.
Live classes are recorded. A recording captures the teacher, the whiteboard and the voices
of students who speak during the class; students' video is not recorded. A recording can be
watched only by students enrolled in that class and subject, Recorded or Live. Recordings are kept on our video
service and may be used as course material for current and future batches; the practice keeps
the original recordings as master copies (see the Privacy Policy,
sections 3, 4 and 6).
5. Assignments, tests and marks
Assignments and their files can be read by every student of the course. Handing work in, and
having it marked by your teacher, is part of the Live course. Marks and feedback are shown to you
and to the practice. Tests are scored within the portal for every student of the course; attempt
limits and result visibility are set by the practice.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the portal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may
change, suspend or withdraw features, and may carry out maintenance, without notice.
7. Free trials
What a trial is. A student may register for a free trial of a course offered on our website; we tell their parent or guardian at once (section 2). For 7 days, the student can watch up to three sample lectures chosen by the practice. The course's other features are shown but locked.
Either kind of course. A trial shows sample lectures of a subject. A trial student may buy that subject's Recorded course or its Live course.
It is free. We do not ask for payment details for a trial, nothing is charged when it ends, and it does not turn into a paid course by itself.
One per student. Each student email address may take one free trial. We may refuse a registration, or end a trial early, if it appears to break this rule or these Terms.
When it ends. The practice may extend a trial. When the trial ends, the account remains and the student can still sign in, but the sample lectures are locked. To have the account closed, see section 9.
Buying ends the trial for that subject. A trial student who wants the full course buys it while signed in to their own trial account (section 8). The course is added to that account, and the trial of that subject ends. If the trial covers other subjects, each of those runs to its own end date.
Enrolled by the practice. If the practice enrols a trial student directly, the trial ends and the account becomes a regular student account.
8. Paid courses
What you buy. A course is one subject of one class (for example, Class 12 Accounts) for one academic year, which we call the batch year, sold as Recorded or as Live.
Recorded: the lecture recordings, notes, books, question banks, tests, announcements, assignments to read, and doubt sessions.
Live: all of that, plus the regular live classes, handing work in, and having it marked.
A course gives access to that subject on the portal until the end date shown at checkout for that course. The Recorded and Live courses of one subject may have different end dates.
Price. Each course, Recorded or Live, has one price for the whole batch year, shown in Indian rupees on the course page and at checkout. The price is the same whenever in the year you buy. There is no reduced price for part of a year. You pay the price shown when you start the payment. Prices shown are the full amount payable; no extra taxes are added.
Several subjects at once. You may buy several subjects of the same class in one payment, choosing Recorded or Live for each. You choose one of the two for a subject, not both. The price is the total of the courses chosen. Subjects of different classes are bought in separate payments.
Coupons. We may offer coupon codes. A coupon gives the discount it states, an amount or a percentage off, on the courses and kinds of course (Recorded, Live, or both) it names, and between its dates. An upgrade to Live takes only a coupon that names Live. Only one coupon can be used on a payment. Each coupon has its own limits, shown when you apply it. The amount you pay is never less than ₹1, and the discount is shown in the total before you pay. Where a refund is due, it is the amount you actually paid.
Upgrading to Live. A student who has bought a subject's Recorded course may upgrade it to Live while signed in to their account. The upgrade costs the difference between that subject's Live and Recorded prices on the day the payment starts. It is bought on its own, not with other subjects. When it is paid, the course becomes Live, with the Live course's end date. A course cannot be changed from Live to Recorded, and no refund is given for doing so.
Seats. A Live course may have a limited number of seats. When they are taken, it cannot be bought until a seat is free. If a payment reaches us after the last seat was taken, the student is enrolled all the same.
Payment. Payment is made online through Razorpay, our payment provider. At checkout we send you to a Razorpay payment page, where you pay by the methods Razorpay offers. The payment link lasts 24 hours. The student is enrolled once Razorpay confirms the payment. If a payment fails or the link expires, nothing is charged and nobody is enrolled (see the Refund and Cancellation Policy, section 2).
Who buys. A parent or guardian completes the purchase. At checkout they give their own name, their relationship to the student, their email address and mobile number, and the student's name and email address, and tick one box that accepts these Terms and the Refund and Cancellation Policy and gives consent as described in the Privacy Policy. When the student is signed in, the student's email address is filled in from their account.
A new student, or an existing one. Buying on our website without signing in always creates a new student account. We send a link to set up that account to the student's email address given at checkout; the parent or guardian is sent a notice, without the link. A student who already has an account, including a free-trial account, buys only while signed in to that account; the course is added to it. You choose which applies. We never add a course to an existing account just because an email address matches. A student signed in to their account cannot buy a course they already have, or the Recorded course of a subject they have as Live.
Fees arranged directly. For a student the practice enrols directly, tuition fees are arranged directly with the practice, not through this website.
No refunds once access to the course is given. The course content is treated as delivered when access is given. We refund only a duplicate or mistaken charge, at any time, or a course never provided (payment taken but access never given), in full.
Refunds and cancellation. Refunds, failed payments, expired payment links and the end of a course are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms for a course bought on our website.
9. Ending access
We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, or when a
student leaves the practice. A free trial ends as section 7 describes. A course bought on our
website ends on the end date shown at checkout, or earlier for a subject whose payment is
refunded (a refunded duplicate charge does not end access, and a refunded upgrade returns the course to Recorded instead), as our
Refund and Cancellation Policy describes. You, or your parent or
guardian, may ask us to close an account at any time by writing to
contact@accountsbynisha.com.
10. Our responsibility
The portal is provided for education. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for
indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your failure to keep your login
secure. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version here and, where the change is
significant, tell you through the portal. Each version carries a version number. A student who
registers for a free trial accepts the version shown at that time. A parent or guardian who buys
a course accepts the version shown at checkout.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of
Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction.

Version 2026-10-19 · Last updated: 19 October 2026 ·
Data Fiduciary: Nisha Sahni
This notice explains what personal data the portal collects, why, how it is protected,
and the rights you have. It is written to be read alongside — but separately from — our
Terms of Use, as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the
DPDP Rules, 2025.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The Data Fiduciary is Nisha Sahni,
D-9/9, Second Floor, Ardee City, Sector 52, Gurgaon 122011, Haryana, India. For any privacy question or request, contact
Nisha Sahni at contact@accountsbynisha.com.
2. Children's data — please read first
The portal is used by students under 18. Under the DPDP Act, processing a child's personal
data requires verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian. The practice is a small
tuition service. Most students are enrolled through direct arrangement with their families,
and a student can also register for a free trial on our website themselves.
Free trials registered on our website. A student registers for a free trial
themselves. We collect exactly: the course, the student's name, email address and mobile
number, and a parent's or guardian's email address and mobile number. The student ticks a box to agree
to our Terms of Use; we record which version, when, and the internet (IP) address and browser
details it was sent from. Straight away we email the parent or guardian at the address
given, to tell them the trial has started, and they can have the student's account and the
trial's personal data removed by replying to that email (section 11).
Courses bought on our website. A parent or guardian completes the purchase.
We collect: their full name, whether they are the student's parent or legal guardian, their
email address and mobile number, and the student's name and email address (when the student
is signed in, the student's email address is filled in from their account). They tick one
box. By ticking it they accept our Terms of Use and our Refund and Cancellation Policy, and give their consent,
as the student's parent or lawful guardian, to the processing described in this Privacy
Policy. We record which version of each of the three documents was shown, when the box was
ticked, and the internet (IP) address and browser details it was sent from. Payment is taken
by Razorpay (section 5).
What this does not do, stated honestly: we do not ask for a parent's or
guardian's consent for a free trial, and we do not independently check that the address the
student gives belongs to their parent or guardian. When a course is bought online, the parent
or guardian who pays gives their consent at checkout; we do not independently check the
relationship they declare. For students enrolled directly, the
practice relies on the enrolling parent's or guardian's involvement, as before.
In every case, personal data is limited to what is needed to teach the student. If you are a
parent or guardian and have any question about your child's data, or wish to withdraw
consent, contact contact@accountsbynisha.com.
We do not profile children, track them for advertising, or show them targeted advertising.
The portal shows no advertising at all.
3. What we collect
Account and identity: name, email, the class and subjects a student is enrolled in, and a student ID issued by the practice.
For a free trial: the course, the student's name, email address and mobile number, and a parent's or guardian's email address and mobile number.
For a course bought on our website: the parent's or guardian's full name, their relationship to the student (parent or legal guardian), email address and mobile number; the student's name and email address; and the class and subjects bought.
For a message sent through our website's contact form: the student's name and a phone number; and, if given, a parent's name, the class and subject asked about, the student's email address, a parent's or guardian's email address, and the message.
Coupon records: the coupon used and the student's and parent's email addresses.
Acceptance, consent and trial records: the record of the student's acceptance of our Terms, and of a parent's or guardian's acceptance and consent at checkout, described in section 2 (which document versions, when, and the IP address and browser details); and the course, start date and end date of each trial.
Payment records: for each purchase, the Razorpay payment id, the amount, the payment method type (for example, UPI or card), the payment's status (for example, paid or refunded), and any refund made. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's payment page. The portal never sees or stores them.
Learning activity: which lessons have been marked complete, assignment submissions, marks and feedback, and test attempts and scores.
Sign-in information: the time a student last signed in, used to show the practice an at-a-glance count of who is active. We do not keep a per-student log of which individual lessons a student opened.
Live class recordings: recordings of live classes, which capture the teacher, the whiteboard and the voices of students who speak during the class. Students' video is not recorded.
Technical data: basic information your browser sends when you use the site, and aggregate website analytics on the public site only (see Cookies & Analytics).
4. Why we use it
To provide teaching: give access to lessons, set and mark work, run tests and live classes.
To record live classes so that students enrolled in that class and subject can watch them again, and to use the recordings as course material for current and future batches.
To administer enrolment, timetables, announcements and the academic calendar.
To run free trials: create the student's account, give access to the sample lectures for the trial period, and keep to one trial per student email address.
To tell a parent or guardian, straight away, that a student has started a free trial, and to act on their request to remove it.
To sell courses: take payment through Razorpay, apply a coupon's limits (which may include one use per student email address), enrol the student in the subjects bought, check payments against Razorpay's records, and make any refund.
To keep a record of each acceptance of our Terms, of each parent's or guardian's consent to a purchase, and of any withdrawal.
To keep the student and their parent or guardian informed. The student's email address is our main contact for orders and coupons; the parent's or guardian's email address is kept for our records and to keep them informed. Messages about the student's account, trials and courses bought go to both the student and the parent or guardian. Messages about classes, assignments, tests and announcements go to the student only.
To send account emails, such as the link to set up a new account and password-reset links. These links go only to the student's own email address, never to a parent or guardian; when a new account is set up, the parent or guardian is sent a notice without the link. If we do not hold the student's own email address, no link is sent automatically. We also use email to reply when you contact us.
To keep the portal secure and working, and to keep backups so data can be recovered.
We use personal data only for these purposes. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
5. Where your data is held, and who processes it for us
Data is stored in India. We use trusted providers to run the service, each handling only
what their part requires:
Supabase — database, sign-in and storage, hosted in India (Mumbai region).
Bunny Stream — storage and delivery of lesson videos and live class recordings.
Cloudflare R2 — an additional secure backup copy.
Google Cloud (Mumbai) — converting uploaded documents to a readable format; documents are processed on our own private service and are not sent to third-party document viewers.
Zoom — running live classes.
Vercel — serving the website.
Amazon Web Services (Simple Email Service, Mumbai region) — sending account emails and notices to students and their parents or guardians.
Razorpay — taking payments for courses and making refunds. Razorpay processes payments under its own privacy policy. We tell Razorpay only the amount and the course (class and subject). We do not send it your or the student's details. You enter your payment details, and any contact details Razorpay asks for, on Razorpay's own payment page, where Razorpay's terms and privacy policy apply.
The practice does not transfer personal data outside India for any purpose other than
operating the service through the providers named above.
6. How long we keep it
We keep a student's data for as long as they are enrolled, and for one year after the student
leaves the practice, for legitimate record-keeping. After that period the data is deleted or
anonymised, unless a longer period is required by law.
For a course bought on our website, two records are kept longer than the year above. We keep
payment records for 8 years. We keep the record of the parent's or guardian's acceptance and
consent for as long as the student's account exists, and for 3 years after it is closed.
If a student has only taken a free trial and no course is bought, we delete the account and
the personal data from the trial (the student's and the parent's or guardian's details, and
the record of the student's acceptance of our Terms) 90 days after the trial ends. Until then,
we keep that record so that we can show what was agreed.
Recordings are kept on our video service and may be used as course material for current and
future batches; the practice keeps the original recordings as master copies.
When we delete data, it is removed from our live systems straight away, and from our
encrypted backups within 35 days.
7. How we protect it
Access is controlled at the database level: a teacher sees only her assigned classes; a student sees only their own work.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and backed up regularly, with recovery tested.
Access to administrative data is limited to the practice.
8. Your rights
You, or a parent/guardian on a child's behalf, may ask us to:
see the personal data we hold about the student;
correct data that is wrong or out of date;
delete the student's data, subject to any record we must keep by law;
withdraw permission for processing at any time — as easily as it was given (this may mean we can no longer provide the service);
nominate another person to exercise these rights on the student's behalf if the student is unable to.
To make a request, write to contact@accountsbynisha.com. Requests are handled
by Nisha Sahni, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
These requests are handled manually; there is no self-service deletion button in the portal.
9. If something goes wrong
If a data breach affects your data, we will act to contain it and will notify affected
people and any authority as required.
10. Grievance Officer and complaints
Our Grievance Officer is Avon Sahni, who can be reached at
contact@accountsbynisha.com. Write to the Grievance Officer
with any complaint about how we handle your data or the student's, or about a course bought on
our website. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours of receiving it, and resolve it within
one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also raise a complaint with the Data
Protection Board of India.
11. Withdrawing permission
Where we rely on consent or permission to process a student's data, it can be withdrawn at
any time by writing to contact@accountsbynisha.com.
Withdrawing is as straightforward as giving it. If this stops us providing the service, that
does not affect processing already carried out. For a course bought on our website, what
happens to the course and its payment is covered by our
Refund and Cancellation Policy, section 8.
During a free trial, the parent or guardian we emailed — or the student —
can have the trial removed by replying to that email, through the contact form on our website,
or by WhatsApp. Within 7 days we end the trial and delete the student's account and the
personal data from the trial, as described in section 6.
12. Changes to this notice
We will post any updated version here and tell you through the portal if the change is significant.
Each version carries a version number, and a consent given on our website records the version it
was given against. At checkout, we record the versions of the Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy
and the Refund and Cancellation Policy that were shown.
Essential cookies — needed to sign you in and keep you signed in. The portal cannot work without these, so they are always on.
Analytics — public site only. On the public marketing pages we use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. The student portal itself carries no analytics tag, and we do not use analytics to build a record of what an individual student opens.
Payment pages. When you pay for a course, you leave our site for Razorpay's payment page. Any cookies set there are Razorpay's, under Razorpay's own policies. Our site does not load any Razorpay code.
What analytics collects
Aggregate, non-identifying information such as pages viewed and general location and device
type. It is used to improve the public site. It is not linked to a student's account and is
not used to track individuals.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will
stop you signing in.

Operated by Nisha Sahni, D-9/9, Second Floor, Ardee City, Sector 52, Gurgaon 122011, Haryana, India
This policy covers courses bought on our website, accountsbynisha.com, and paid for through
Razorpay. The parent or guardian who buys a course accepts it at checkout, together with our
Terms of Use. Tuition fees arranged directly with the practice are not
covered by this policy.
No refunds once access to the course is given. The only refunds are for a
duplicate or mistaken charge, and for a course never provided (section 3).
1. What you are paying for
A course is one subject of one class, for one academic year (the batch year), sold as Recorded or as Live (Terms of Use, section 8).
Each course has one price for the whole batch year, in Indian rupees. The price is the same whenever in the year you buy. There is no reduced price for part of a year. Prices shown are the full amount payable; no extra taxes are added.
You may buy several subjects of the same class in one payment, choosing Recorded or Live for each. You pay the total of their prices.
An upgrade from Recorded to Live costs the difference between the two prices on the day the payment starts.
Access lasts until the end date shown at checkout for that course.
2. Before you pay: failed payments and expired links
At checkout we give you a Razorpay payment link. It lasts 24 hours.
If you do not pay within 24 hours, the link expires. Nothing is charged and the student is not enrolled. You can start again from the course page.
If a payment fails, nothing is charged and the student is not enrolled. You can try again.
If you see money taken from your account for a payment that did not complete, contact us (section 9) with the date and amount, and we will look into it with Razorpay.
3. Asking for a refund
To ask for a refund, the student, or the parent or guardian who bought the course, should
write to contact@accountsbynisha.com from the
student's or the parent's or guardian's email address. Please give the student's name,
the class, the subjects you are asking about, and the date of payment.
We give refunds only in these cases:
A duplicate or mistaken charge: refunded in full, at any time.
A course never provided: if your payment was taken but access to the course was never given, it is refunded in full.
No refunds once access to the course is given. The course content is treated as delivered when access is given. There are no partial refunds.
4. How refunds are decided
Each request is handled by the practice.
Where one payment covered several subjects, the practice chooses which of those subjects are refunded.
A subject that is refunded is refunded in full: what was paid for it. An upgrade to Live is a payment of its own and is refunded as one. There are no partial refunds.
5. What a refund does to the course
A refunded subject: the student's access to that subject ends.
A refunded upgrade: the course goes back to Recorded, with the Recorded course's end date. If that date has passed, access ends.
The Recorded course refunded after an upgrade: the student's access to the subject ends. The practice will contact you about the upgrade payment.
A refund of one subject does not change the student's access to any other subject.
A refund of a duplicate charge does not end the access given by the original payment.
6. How the money comes back
A refund is paid back through Razorpay to the payment method used for the original payment.
We cannot pay a refund in cash or to a different account.
A refund usually reaches you 5–7 working days after we process it.
7. When a course ends
A course ends on the end date shown at checkout for it; after an upgrade to Live, on the Live course's end date. Access to that subject then stops.
It does not renew by itself, and nothing more is charged. A course for the next batch year is a new purchase.
The account itself is not closed at the end of the year. To have it closed, see the Terms of Use, section 9.
8. Cancelling after you have paid
Once a course is paid for, cancelling it means asking for a refund, and only the cases in section 3 are refunded.
If you close the student's account, or withdraw consent for the student's data: no refund, unless section 3 applies.
If the practice ends access for a breach of the Terms: no refund.
If the practice discontinues a course part-way through the year: no refund. The course content is treated as delivered when access was given. This includes a Live course whose live classes stop while its recordings remain.
9. Contact
Refund requests and questions about this policy:
contact@accountsbynisha.com,
Nisha Sahni, D-9/9, Second Floor, Ardee City, Sector 52, Gurgaon 122011, Haryana, India.
Complaints go to our Grievance Officer (Privacy Policy, section 10).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here. Each version carries a
version number. A purchase is covered by the version accepted at its checkout.
